Who we are

Project Restore is a health-equity–driven initiative founded and led by Hamza Faik, a pre-medical student committed to public service, community care, and measurable social impact. The initiative was built entirely through Hamza’s part-time janitorial wages while attending community college.

The first 1,000 hygiene kits were fully purchased, assembled, and delivered exclusively through those wages, without donations or external funding. These kits were distributed to women experiencing homelessness across Massachusetts, including a direct delivery to Rosie’s Place, the first women’s homeless shelter in the United States.

Project Restore currently operates as a DBA nonprofit and is in the process of obtaining IRS 501(c)(3) status. At this time, donations are not being accepted. Upon approval, the organization will responsibly expand its impact through public, tax-deductible donations to support future distributions.

Project Restore is guided by a commitment to accountability, transparency, and hands-on leadership—ensuring that resources are translated directly into service for those who need them most.
