Who we are
Project Restore is a health-equity–driven initiative founded and run entirely by Hamza Faik, a pre-medical student deeply committed to public service, community care, and social impact. What began as a simple idea — using his part-time janitor wages to help those who need it most — has become a mission to support underserved and homeless individuals across Massachusetts.
Every hygiene kit, including the first 1,000 kits, is personally funded, assembled, and delivered by Hamza. In early 2025, the first 400 kits were donated to Rosie’s Place, the first women’s homeless shelter in the United States, marking the beginning of Project Restore’s broader effort to uplift vulnerable communities with dignity and compassion.
Project Restore currently operates as a DBA nonprofit, but after the first 1,000 kits are completed, it will transition into a 501(c)(3) organization to formally accept donations. Once finalized, donation links and updates will be announced on social media, along with a dedicated page for supporters.
Above all, Hamza deeply appreciates every single person who contributes, shares, or supports this mission. Project Restore exists to serve the community — one kit, one act of kindness, and one restored sense of dignity at a time.
