SERVING OUR COMMUNITY WITH PURPOSE

Project Restore is a grassroots initiative built from the ground up by Hamza Faik — funded through part-time janitor wages and driven by a commitment to restoring dignity for Massachusetts’ underserved and homeless communities.

OUR IMPACT SO FAR

Project Restore began as a grassroots effort to restore dignity for people experiencing homelessness—funded entirely through Hamza Faik’s part-time janitorial wages while attending community college. The first 1,000 hygiene kits were purchased, assembled, and delivered exclusively through those wages, without donations or external funding.

What began as a small, self-funded effort has grown into a mission with measurable impact across Massachusetts, including a direct delivery to Rosie’s Place, the first women’s homeless shelter in the United States.

Project Restore’s work has earned recognition from local leadership, including an official Certificate of Recognition from the City of Revere for service to the community. To date, the initiative has operated without staff, grants, or donor funding, with all logistics—planning, budgeting, outreach, assembly, and delivery—handled directly by its founder.

As Project Restore transitions toward IRS 501(c)(3) status, future distributions will be supported through public donations to responsibly expand its reach while maintaining transparency and direct impact.
